The Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics program at St. ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ University is a small, supportive learning environment that prepares you for a successful career advancing nutrition practice and facilitating healthy lifestyle changes in a variety of areas, including hospitals, nursing homes, public health clinics, schools, fitness centers, community centers, and more.
Our reputation for excellence, robust clinical partnerships, and emphasis on social justice and health equity will prepare you for a fulfilling career serving diverse populations in any setting. With close guidance from dedicated faculty mentors and our innovative "future education model", you will learn much more than just how to pass the licensure exam and earn your credential. You'll combine classroom work with 1,035 hours of supervised experiential learning, allowing you to immediately apply your knowledge and build your skills as a confident leader and practitioner in the field.
As a University with a diverse portfolio of health science programs, you'll also have opportunities to learn in real-time with and from ´ºÓêÖ±²¥s in several other programs as a critical member of an interprofessional healthcare team - while honing key competencies in nutrition and dietetics, such as:
- How to become an effective nutrition educator and counselor
- Understanding lifecycle nutrition in children and adults
- Exploring current issues and evaluating applied research in nutrition
- Understanding foodservice operations and production
- Experimenting with culinary solutions
- Preparing to pass the national registration examination for registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs)

St. Kate's undergraduate ´ºÓêÖ±²¥s who don't have a bachelor's degree can take advantage of our 3+2 dual-degree Applied Science in Nutrition and Dietetics program, earning both a bachelor's and master's degree in just five years.
An entry-level option is available for applicants with a bachelor's degree in any field who are seeking to gain a registered dietitian credential and have completed prerequisites for this program.
