Three with St. Kate's ties named to American Occupational Therapy Association's 100 Influential People list

Penny Moyers, dean of the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health was one of three St. Kate's comunity members included in the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)'s 2017 list of 100 influential people who made noticeable contributions to the profession and its history.

2017 marks the 100th year of both the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the profession of occupational therapy. AOTA celebrates this centennial milestone by naming 100 influential people who made noticeable contributions to the profession and its history. Included in the list are three St. Kate's community members: , , and , dean of the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health.

Dean Moyers is the founding dean of the Henrietta Schmoll School of Health. She has influenced the profession of occupational therapy for over 30 years as a practitioner, innovator, influential scholar, educator and leader, including serving as president of the AOTA from 2007 to 2010. She received the AOTA’s top honor of the Award of Merit in 2013.

Sally Ryan was a member of the St. Kate's faculty from 1972 to 1999. She is an editor of Ryan's Occupational Therapy Assistant: Principles, Practice Issues and Techniques, a renowned and cornerstone textbook for occupational therapy ´ºÓêÖ±²¥s over the past 30 years. The fifth edition of the book was released in 2014.

Virginia Stoffel '77 is known for her work in mental health. Besides serving most recently as AOTA ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ (2013–2016), she has served on the AOTA Specialties Board, establishing Board Certification in Mental Health.
