ASL and Interpreting

Welcome to the Department of ASL and Interpreting. We are dedicated to fostering linguistic and cultural competency among our ´ºÓêÖ±²¥s, using a perspective grounded in social justice, ethical decision-making, and critical thinking. Recognizing and celebrating diverse identities within the deaf community, we challenge conventional systemic views on disability. We actively cultivate partnerships emphasizing social justice and equity, aligning with St. ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ University's mission of women empowerment and its vision for social justice and contributing to a more inclusive, respectful, and equitable society.
