St. ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ University Professional Licensure Disclosures

Degree programs at St. ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ University that are intended to result in professional licensure and certification are designed to meet the educational requirements for the state of Minnesota.

Per the U.S. Department of Education regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v) we are obligated to disclose whether or not St. Kate’s programs will meet the educational requirements for professional licensure or certification in any of the US states or territories. The information below reflects, to the best of our knowledge, accurate information about each of our licensing programs.

We encourage ´ºÓêÖ±²¥s who may live out-of-state or intend to test or apply for licensure or certification outside of Minnesota to: (1) share this with college representatives and program officials, and (2) review the state educational requirements on the relevant licensing body’s website. St. ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ University will work collaboratively to ensure that all ´ºÓêÖ±²¥s stay apprised and informed regarding educational requirements for licensing eligibility wherever they may live.

School of Humanities, Arts and Sciences

Education

Education licensure programs are designed to meet Minnesota state standards and DO NOT lead to licensure in other states. Licensure information for other states can be reviewed . However, ´ºÓêÖ±²¥s enrolling from states outside MN are required to submit an attestation on admission that they understand these licensing limitations and that expresses their intent to pursue licensure in Minnesota.

Health Sciences

St. ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ School of Health Sciences programs (except Dietetics) meet the educational requirements for licensure eligibility in the field. Licensure programs include those seen below:

  • Occupation Therapy, Associate’s & Graduate Degrees
  • Physical Therapy, Associate’s, Bachelor’s & Graduate Degree
  • Radiography, Associate’s Degree
  • Dietetics
    • Graduate degree DOES meet educational requirements in any state
    • Bachelor’s Degree DOES NOT meet educational requirements in any state
  • Radiation Therapy, Bachelor’s Degree
  • Respiratory Care, Bachelor’s Degree
  • Sonography, Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Physicians Assistant, Graduate Degree
  • Social Work, Bachelor’s & Graduate Degree

St. ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ University has confirmed that its BSN and MSN licensure nursing programs listed below meet the educational requirements for licensure in all states and territories except Oregon and American Samoa. Students are encouraged to review details of the process to become licensed as a nurse in the state they intend to work ).

    • DNP: Nurse Practitioner Options and Second-Certificate Students: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Licensure (APRN)

St. ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ University has confirmed that its Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure programs are designed to meet licensure requirements in the state of Minnesota and also conform to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) APRN Consensus Model. Not all state nursing licensure agencies have adopted the NCSBN requirements. Students can explore state licensure requirements in the state they intend to work .
