Feast of Saint Joseph

Each spring, we celebrate Saint Joseph and the work of St. ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ University’s founders, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, fostering the love of the dear neighbor through service, social justice, and reflection. All are invited to attend the service projects, prayer service, and reception.

3:30–6:30 p.m. — Service Projects
5 p.m. — Prayer Service (also available via Zoom)
5:30 p.m.— Reception

Service projects and activities will include:

  • Pop-Up Library and Archives: Check out books from the mini-library, enter to win a copy of this year’s One Read for Racial Justice, learn about the Sisters’ history, and make a button!
  • Sister Helping Sisters: Help write notes and assemble Welcome Home bags with Amicus’ Sisters Helping Sisters program to support and encourage women leaving incarceration.
  • Legislative and Advocacy Action: Let your voice be heard in the Minnesota legislative process! Learn who your elected officials are and advocate for bills that impact our dear neighbors. Take action and help create positive change!
  • St. Kate's/CSJ Food Access Hub: Learn how the Food Access Hub addresses food insecurity and food sustainability issues while growing fresh produce in community gardens. 
  • Keystone Community Services: The St. Paul Meals on Wheels program helps seniors age with dignity and without fear of hunger. Decorate a bag with words and drawings of hope that will be filled with food and delivered to neighbors in St. Paul. 
  • Archives by the Sisters of St. Joseph: How much do you know about St. Kate's and the CSJs? Test your knowledge and learn about the history of St. ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ University and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet and Consociates, St. Paul Province.
  • The Dialysis Sweatshirt Project: Use your sewing skills to help create comfortable sweatshirts for people going through the dialysis process.
  • Cards for Sisters: Create a card or write a note of gratitude to a sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet.
  • Honors Project: Check out the display, “The Sisters Next Door: Stories of Influential Women Pushing the Boundaries of Advocacy and Education in Pursuit of a More Just World.â€
