Transformational Public Health Leaders Start Here

Engage and collaborate with our local and global communities in addressing public health challenges as a socially responsible leader.

NEW FOR FALL 2025

Beginning in Fall 2025, we will offer a fully online option of HyFlex courses to provide greater flexibility and options as you move through the program. Experience the same high-quality education, personalized support, and career-focused guidance from our expert faculty with the flexibility of learning online when it works for you.

Open to those with a bachelor’s degree in any field, the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at St. ´ºÓêÖ±²¥ University develops transformational leaders compelled to advance the well-being of all people. Grounded in a global perspective and social justice lens, this program is for ´ºÓêÖ±²¥s who are interested in reducing health disparities and addressing disease prevention locally and globally.

You will have opportunities to engage with local, regional, and international organizations to gain new skills, work in real-world settings, and meet public health leaders. Through coursework and a practicum experience, you will learn to:

  • Investigate and analyze the historical roots of structural racism and colonialism and their enduring effects on health disparities
  • Develop skills necessary to dismantle injustice and advance a social justice agenda in global health careers
  • Identify the ways in which policies may reduce or increase social and health inequities
  • Propose sustainable and evidence-based multi-sectoral interventions, considering social determinants of health specific to a local area
  • Analyze relationships and resources of entities influencing global health
  • Develop communication strategies for different audiences and sectors
  • Apply negotiation/mediation skills to address organizational and community challenges

With robust global partnerships, we provide online and in-person international experiences for all ´ºÓêÖ±²¥s. These transformative experiences allow you to develop a different lens through which to view health systems and health promotion interventions, and therefore enhance your ability to work in culturally diverse settings, both locally and internationally. For example, our graduates work as researchers, health policy analysts, environmental health advocates, refugee health program managers, and more.

The program provides flexibility for working professionals and those with family responsibilities. The program is open to ´ºÓêÖ±²¥s of all genders.
